Ensuring Crop Vitality Through Diligent Irrigation Management

A Feast for the Senses: Enjoy Fresh Produce, Homemade Pies, and More!
McDannell's Fruit Farm and Market has been buzzing with activity, at the start of the 2024 season, showcasing an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables. Colorful crates brimmed with apricots, blueberries, and cherries, their ripe hues catching the eye alongside displays of plums, potatoes, and cauliflower. Bouquets of flowers added more color, aromatic cheeses and homemade treats like pies, cookies and cider donuts still warm, were grabbed up quickly.
Amidst the lively atmosphere, the market was a vibrant hub of community and local flavor. It was more than a shopping experience; it was a celebration of seasonal abundance and the joys of shared food and fellowship.

These apples are perfect to pair with a dip good for pies, or toss a few slices in your salad. It is sometimes called the apple that was brought by Hurricane Camille in 1969. Legend is that a Virginia grower discovered the first Ginger Gold apples from an orchard destroyed by Hurricane Camille.

Mid June - Since there was no rain we had to apply 3 different waterings
July 6, 2020 - We were happy to start pulling our first planting!
